Bio

Elizabeth Ross, M.S.,Ph.D., earned her doctorate in Animal Biology at the University of California, Davis under the supervision of Dr. Frank Mitloehner. Her Ph.D. emphasis was in ruminant nutrition and livestock ecology. Liz works with both beef and dairy cattle, her research focuses on the use of feed additives to mitigate enteric methane emissions from cattle as well as the use of supplements and novel manure management strategies to reduce ammonia emissions from cattle manure.

Liz is now working for the California Air Resources Board as an Air Pollution Specialist in their research division.

Liz is a member of the Yolo County Young Farmers and Ranchers Club which helps young farmers and ranchers in the area network and also helps to support the community through offering scholarships to students involved in agriculture. In her spare time, Liz and her husband are working to building their own house and are also beginning to grow their own beef cattle herd.
